Found exclusively in a single cave system in Castleton, Derbyshire, Blue John is Britain’s rarest and most historic mineral. This beautiful stone features the iconic, natural deep violet-blue and cream-banded fluorite matrix. Rare Custom Heritage "Display" Hallmark. Struck at the Sheffield Assay Office, this ring is an authentic piece of millennium heritage, featuring a rare combination of official stamps requested by the maker Sponsor Mark: 'SC' (Renowned Sheffield manufacturer of local Blue John jewelry).  A unique millennium transitional strike-through 'z' letter Commemorative Mark makes the highly sought-after 2000 Millennium Cross (only permitted for a brief window at the turn of the century) a real must have piece.
